The FX was a lighter, more efficient 750 derived from the KZ650 with a larger bore and a lower compression ratio than its predecessors. It had CDI ignition, four 32mm carburettors and a standing quarter mile in the low 12-second range. The road test praised its usable midrange and light handling over outright performance.
